Before the light dies
in your eyes,
will you find the path
that leads you to the answer
of a question never asked
by the face behind the mask?
Before the light dies
in your eyes,
will you dispell the blindness,
and embrace the world of kindness
that was hidden for so long,
but gave you back to song?
Before the light dies
in your eyes,
will you dare to see
what is meant to come your way
even if that frightens you,
and you think it can’t be true?
Before the light dies
in your eyes,
will you find your sins forgiven,
and the heart that ascends,
beyond the wall we built,
to a world of love instead of guilt?
Before the light dies
in your eyes,
will you hear the silent cries,
that swear to God to put to words
this love before the night will come?
This love that sees it done,
before the light dies
in your eyes.
